Internal fire doors will in lots of instances have at least 3 sizes but in most styles we are able to offer a choice of several sizes and two thicknesses including the 30 minute fire doors or the 60 minute fire doors the latter is only available in a handful of options fire door regulations are stringent make sure you choose.
These create the door edge and can be reduced slightly in size to fit a specific door opening without exposing the inner core of the door.
The edges of the door can be prone to damage so it is important to specify the correct lipping to provide protection particularly to the face of the door.

Solid lippings as long as they are large enough allow the edges of doors to be modelled to form rebated pairs.
Lippings are applied to all 4 edges to provide optimum protection.
Provided there s enough of a lipping on the stiles of the doors i d opt for number 1 if prompted but if you reduce the lining thickness make sure you use expanding foam to secure it further and put an extra fixing an inch or two under the top hinge as well to help take the weight.
